Ananya Bhanja Chaudhuri is an Indian film director, producer, writer, and actor. She started her career as an Ad Filmmaker in the year 2005 after completing her studies in Advertising. She got the flavor of filmmaking while working as Post Production Coordinator for Raj Ad Mass Media for the Bengali feature Mayer Raja (2006). She emerged as an independent director and producer from her directorial debut Alingan (40 minutes film) in 2013. After that, she did not look back and she made a series of long-length short films while continuing her parallel world of Advertising.
Ananya is best known for her recent film Onyo Valentine which earned wide accolades and awards in Indian and International Film Festivals. She has her ancestral connections with Veteran Director, Late Debaki Kumar Basu which give her immense interest in making cinema, not just for the audience but in making a historic contribution too. Ananya Bhanja Chaudhuri.... The first time I met her, I found her to be very sweet, bubly, intelligent yet strict and disciplined. She is the epitome of todays feminism. Has modern outlook with a conservative approach. She's quite an interesting character.
